rain no longer bothers me.

I just see sun, sun, and sun. Then three inches of snow overnight gone in 2 hours after sunrise.

The storm passed, now sun.

The last couple months have been a wild ride. Life has thrown me a few curveballs that have left me stunned for a couple days and then ready to get back on track. First was my ankle, beat to mush from a crash. I was off it for three weeks that felt like eternity, missing one meet which was a blow to my psyche. After three weeks I was back on it ready to rock.

After training on it for one week, I competed. Which was hard but great for my confidence. I posted a solid 9.45 on bars twice! Once in the individual and then in the team final at which Metropolitan place third. I stayed on the beam and posted a 9.025, which is decent but not solid. Floor and Vault bombed but only because my tumbling was out of shape. Two weeks later was the Great West Gym Fest in Couer d'Alene Idaho. I did well on bars and vault and qualified for the "Big Show" Finals on bars and as an alternate on vault. This was memorable event and the loudest gymnastics competition I have yet attended. There was a live rock band and a screaming crowd between rotations, yelling for the visiting Olympians like Shannon Miller and Valeri Liukin to throw them goodies. They had two huge projector screens up on the wall for easy viewing. The excitement was overwhelming and I ended up bombing my performance on bars. oops. I was dissappointed of course, but glad for the experience of performing in front of the crowd.

That was last week. Now I'm glad to be back training. Next week I go to Portland, OR, for the Rose City Classic. I'm feeling great. Be praying that I stay healthy. State is in one month. :)

I can play this on the piano now. Erik Satie: Gymnopedie 1; lent et deloureux. The most beautiful music in the world... mmm it makes me so happy.

I'm looking forward to doing CrossFit in about an hour. I'll be doing it alone, because Papa is in Montana get out on the ice.
