sweet music

Clubbed to Death, by Rob Dougan.

I mostly like the piano section, but I think Dougan is a genius DJ too.

This is superbomb also:

GHOSTWRITER, RJD2

17 years of blessing.

I officially exist.

(I have a birth certificate. This means I can compete at Nationals!)

hooray!

(party inside. woohoo.)

On that note, I'm applying for colleges.

(notice: plural of college. more than one.)

It follows that I'm taking the SAT in November.

(I'm using that big fat study guide, like SAT for dummies kinda thing. I'm plowing through it, but talk about daunting...)

And writing lots of cool, super fun essays.

I'm going to Community College in two weeks to take a French class.

I'm gonna GO to school and have real live peers!

I'm praying for a good teacher, cause I hear the quality of the class depends largely on the teacher.
Kinda a given, I guess.

Also, I found a 100 bucks hiding in my planner from forever ago. I don't even remember where I got it from. I should hide money more often.

I'm learning a new song on the piano. I almost forgot how much I love playing.

The LORD is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.

The LORD upholds all those who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.

The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.

You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

The LORD is righteous in all his ways
and loving toward all he has made.

The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.

He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.

The LORD watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.

My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Psalm 145:13-21

I'm gonna show you love in every language

Home home home.
It was good to get outta town a little bit, enjoy some heat (though I did miss my socks), and spend time with other family. Mom, Chip, Wyatt, Heather, Holly. I love them all. There were many a reconnection, good conversations, swing dancing, thrift shopping, bonding... lots of mother-daughter quality time. Overall it was really sweet.

Hopefully the pictures say a lot, 'cause my words can't do it justice.

I realized that BEAUTY is my spiritual food. Let's just say that I'm stuffed!

Happiness is...

10. Swing dancing late at night.

9. An old book of poems by Alfred Noyes.

8. Hitting a lift while wearing knee high argyle socks.

7. Spending a whole day alone in a coffee shop with Jesus.

6. A silver cross on a chain from Israel.

5. Talking to faraway family on the telephone.

4. The smell of new books.

3. Reading out loud to younger siblings.

2.The rose bush on Eddy St. and all the trees lining Flora Ave in the Summer and Spring.

1. Being utterly in love with the Lord of the Universe.

joyjoyjoy

i yearn to find the expressions of the fires in my soul. searching searching for words that show the world what's in my depths. i'm burning inside and sometimes the words just don't come. then out bursts this secret language, a tongue known to only God. Sometimes through my lips, sometimes in movement. this is my dance.

Oklahoma was amazing.
