That time of year...

... when every attention is turned toward the joy of the Holidays, giving love peace and thanks to those who support you and grace you with their presence. It is that time of year when you are reminded that every day is a day to give thanks.

And I'm loving it.

I'm hanging out in Bozeman, MT with Papa who is out in the mountains hiking up to the base of an ice route he will be conquering tomorrow. Meanwhile I'm at Chris Robinson's house reading resting singing writing blogging. We're here to get away from the crazy hectic buzz of Seattle stress and schedule. It's peaceful here, the people are nice and the espresso isn't bad. We spent Thanksgiving with Chris and a wonderful family he knows. I managed not to over-eat, fortunately, which saved me from really puking Friday morning when we hit CrossFit 4800 for a workout. I still almost puked, but you know, it's not everyday I do an after-breakfast WOD at 5000 ft elevation. I'll just say I'm honored at the opportunity.

Today I went back for a Oly-lifting workout to loosen up. I hovered around 80-95% in the lifts and chatted with trainer Tyson Bradley. Good people, good times. When I got to the point where my sore legs would function properly, it was a solid workout. After that I walked a few blocks to The Daily Coffee Bar for a latte and did some Physics. Now I'm back on CR's futon enjoying the warmth of his little cabin. MMMM... it's so good to be away from everything. I cherish this independence and relaxation.

I would have taken a lot of pictures by now if we hadn't brought two sets of dead batteries.

No longer forward nor behind
I look in hope or fear;
But, grateful, take the good I find
The best of now and here.
-John Greenleaf Whittier.

Thought I would check out a 252 year old lady. You look so well kept. What meds do you take! Your favorite reading material caught my eye: On hinds feet in high places.
