So I think it's official. Out of the Dust, Dragon or Bust: I'm road trippin' to Missouri in June. I don't know if I mentioned it last year but the week I am attending is invitational meaning Mr Fong invites whole teams to attend. It is a great honor that he is allowing me to attend with out my team from a relatively unknown gym on the west coast. A great honor. I can't wait to go!
I'm starting to train for coaching at my gym. I'll be coaching little kids for pay when I get back from Missouri.
July 5-6 is the CrossFit Games in Aromas. I'll hopefully be hanging out in Pasadena and Claremont until my UCLA camp on July 16-19. I get to see Ms Valle and Marshall and maybe my old teammates Jacque and Sabrina. Very exciting. Summer is full of wonderfulness.
I saw the movie Peaceful Warrior based on Dan Millman's bestselling novel. It was brilliant, and very insightful. I recommend it to anyone who wants to pursue their dreams, and maybe feels held back by circumstance. Sometimes just sitting and thinking about the capabilities of the human mind, body, and spirit brings you out of your depression. Call me an optimist... I think we should esteem ourselves.
Philosophy intrigues me.
There are blooming lilacs right outside our door. They remind me of Leona Valley. Good memories.
