Papa opened a can of salmon...

...and the world blew up.

Papa, Stefan and I went on a backpacking trip for a week in the Sierra's with the Evans family. It was supposed to be a boyscout trip, but most of the scouts ended up bailing so there were only two left, Stefan and Wesley Evans.
l to r: Papa, Wesley Evans, Randy(friend of the Evans), Stefan, me, Sara Evans, Evelyn Evans, John Evans. Ready to Rock!
Hiking in to Cottonwood Lakes
Mr. Evans was carrying way too much stuff!

Everyone got to the Campsite by Cottonwood Lakes by about 3:00 and we rested... alot. The Evans were really tired, but thanks to CrossFit, Stefan pa and I were ready to do something else.
Papa and I took some cool pictures of trees mostly dead.
The next day was a rest day for us, but Papa and I decided to power up Mt. Langley(14,027 ft)
It was hard work as you can probably see from the look on my face.
View from the a point pretty close to the top
Really cool cairn in the background!
We made it! With Mt. Whitney lookin proud in the background!!!!! Woohooo!
Round trip camp to camp: 4:45
this flower is very rare and you will only see it when you go above 12,500 ft elevation. 'Twas a treat for our hard work!
On Tuesday(or something. I got all the days mixed up), we hiked 3 miles further then the Evans to a beautiful lake called Sky Blue

When we got there we set up camp and we made homemade... uh... campmade hot cocoa with our trader joe's chocolate.
We took picture of flowers the next morning in the meadow below our camp:
Sierra gentian
Monkeyflower
yampa jampa thingy
wandering daisy
little elephant heads
and the one and only shooting stars!
At the lake there were some cool boulder spots; Papa was pretty stoked.

I rarely get to post any pictures of Papa on my blog cause he's always the one taking them on adventures like this.
Stefan kinda crawled up a few of them. it was entertaining
Triumphant!
Playing with algae in the lake... fun fun... yah it was slimy in case your wondering:)
That night at camp Stefan and I had our little hyper time and played charades. The title of this post is dedicated to that night. I will post a story stefan told that night soon...
The next day we hiked back to Cottonwood lakes and rested and then hiked back to the car on Thursdayishish(I can't remember to save my life:)

The Trip was actually supposed to go a day longer but Papa and Mr. Evans decided to cut it short Because Papa had some wild plans of taking me and Stefan to Mt Whitney. The plan was carried out but that story's for another time....

maybe the next post
