Sunday stroll...

sorry about the pictures that are rotated to the left. blogger did it. it's not my fault. you just gotta tilt your head a little:)On Sunday Aimee and I went on a long walk along the train tracks by our house.
Our neighbors across the tracks had cows that just stood there and stared at us while Aimee took pictures of them and tryed to persuade them to let her pet them:)

it's really a beautiful picture if you tilt your head;)

We entertained ourselves by challenging each other on how long we could stay on the 3 in rails.

Aimee preferred walking.

mmm... candycane:)
we walked all the way to the point where Broad St. bridges over the track. there was some pretty interesting graffiti art under the bridge.
acacia for Acacia:)

Then we decided we were tired of the train tracks so we climbed up the steep hill by the bridge to Broad. I suggested turning into Los Ranchos which turns off of Broad and head back home from there.
on our way to Los Ranchos we found an opossum on the side of the road... dead. I thought about posting up some close ups of it, but I reconsidered. it wasn't very attractive.
the turkey vultures were circling the area

Los Ranchos road borders a side of the Country Club so instead of going home, I followed Aimee sneaking through the bushes onto the golf courses of the Country Club. I thought it was going to be boring but, it was actually really beautiful.... freakishly beautiful. I felt like I entered a world where people were sued if they didn't keep there yards PERFECT. All the road appeared to be recently paved; I thought I was dreaming.
After walking through the golf course and the residence area, Aimee spotted the really pretty daisy-like flowers on a lawn and decided to sit down and make daisy chains for a necklace and crown. I just sat there and entertained her by making comments on the perfection of the place.

Finished product

Aimee said she'd walked around this area numerous times but I didn't believe her at first, but sure enough, we found Los Ranchos again just as the sunset colors lit up the sky. It was a pretty sight, but not as beautiful as some other recent ones we've had.

It rained yesterday for the first time in a while.

happy spring;)
